Regina Osburn

I have lived in Cherry County for almost 20 years. My husband Jay Dee was born and raised in Valentine. Together we have 2 children and couldn’t imagine a better place to raise them than in the Sandhills of Nebraska. I am proud to serve the community as Cherry County Tourism Director and look forward to seeing you, so, visit soon!

Meet Our Board:

Greg Nollett

CCTPB Chair – Greg Nollette is a fifth generation descendent of the founder of the little town of Nenzel. He and his wife have 4 daughters and 12 grandchildren. He is a retired agricultural education instructor and taught in Cherry County for several years. Greg is co-owner and vintner of Niobrara Valley Vineyards and Winery south of Nenzel, NE. Niobrara Valley Vineyards is a farm winery which grows eleven different varieties of grapes and make fifteen different wines. The wines are hand crafted from the vine to the glass. Wine is offered for sale in over 50 different retail outlets in the state of NE and through Vino Shipper in 38 states.

Sara Ferguson

A graduate of Valentine High School and UNK, Sara worked and lived in both Kearney and Lincoln before moving back to the Valentine area to marry Mike Ferguson of Wood Lake, NE. Sara started in the hospitality business in 2002 in Ainsworth, NE and managed the Rodeway Inn in Ainsworth. Sara became the manager of Valentine Niobrara Lodge in 2013. When the hotel changed ownership in 2015, she remained the General Manager of the Niobrara Lodge owned by Bird Dog Hospitality. Sara and Mike enjoy their sandhill roots and the small-town atmosphere of the biggest county in Nebraska, Cherry County.

Rich Mercure

CCTPB Vice Chair – Rich Mercure is a 4th generation Sandhiller. After college he spent a few years managing a small Nebraska retail business but then soon after bought Little Outlaw Canoe Outfitters in Valentine. He was appointed by the governor and serves as the recreation industry representative for the Niobrara Council which co-manages the Niobrara National Scenic River. Along with the Little Outlaw Canoe Rentals, Rich is joined in partnership with Berry Bridge Campground & Penbrook Camp along the Niobrara river. Rich has been rocking it as an outfitter for over 30 yrs! He and his wife, Marla, love to travel, camp and fish. He also likes to participate in Cowboy Fast Draw shooting events. Rich has two grown children, Sam and Jordan. He and his family feel lucky to be able to experience the scenic Niobrara River Valley almost every day.

Kim Epke

Kim Epke and her husband Dan were both born and raised in the Sandhills which they love and share their passion for every chance they get. Kim has worked for Danielski Farms for over 20 years. She has done a lot of volunteering in the community. Kim and Dan have 2 grown daughters and five grandchildren.

Anne Clark

Anne grew up just north of the Niobrara River on a ranch East of Valentine. She spent her childhood at the river before it was popular to canoe and tub down it. She is married to Dick Clark and has two grown children Abby and Brady. She has one grandchild Wyatt. She is a partner in her husband’s construction business, building new homes. Prior to that she was in the Hospitality industry for 27 years. She served on the regional advisory board for Choice Hotels for 17 years. She feels extremely fortunate to have grown up in this area with all the outdoor experiences Cherry County has to offer. She lives just outside of town on an acreage with horses.
